Resume tips for mid level professionals
Focus on outcomes, not duties. "Managed the deployment pipeline" is a task — "Reduced deployment failures by 60% after rebuilding the CI/CD pipeline" is a result. Lead with the result.
Highlight cross-team work. Mid-level roles often involve coordinating with other teams, and hiring managers want to see that you can work beyond your own silo.
Be specific about the tools and technologies you used. At this level, interviewers expect you to have opinions about your stack and the ability to discuss trade-offs.
Two pages are fine if the content is strong. But trim anything from more than five years ago unless it is directly relevant to the role you want.
